How we make Nanofathom

We use AI, and we'd rather tell you exactly how than pretend we don't.

What people do

• We film everything. Every video on this site was shot by our family on our own trips.
• We write the scripts. Each long-form video starts from a script we write and narrate.
• We check every fact. Before a page goes live, a person checks every price, date, name and policy against the video and a current source.

What AI does

• Drafts the article from our script. When a video goes up, an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic) turns our script and chapters into a first draft. It's told to use only what's in the script, never general knowledge.
• Suggests the FAQ, chapters and links. A person still decides what stays.
• Flags claims that need checking. A second pass lists every factual claim next to the line in the script that supports it, so our reviewer can see what needs a closer look.

Our older guides

In late 2025 and early 2026 we published a batch of guides written mostly by AI, without our own footage behind them. We aren't proud of that. Those guides now carry a note at the top, and we're rebuilding them one at a time with our own videos, current facts and a human check. Some that didn't fit this site have been merged or retired.

Money

When we add affiliate links or sponsorships, we'll mark them on the page where they appear. No one pays us to change a verdict.

Spot a mistake?

Prices and policies at the parks change constantly. If something here is out of date, leave a comment on the matching YouTube video and we'll fix the page.
