Vows

We wrote our own vows to each other.

Chelsey to Jason

“It’s been an honor to be on this journey with you. To watch you grow as a person, a business man, a friend, a father, and a partner. The road hasn’t always been smooth but I promise I will stay by your side through the good and the not so good. I will be your rock, a leg, a shoulder, whatever you may need. After All This Time, I still choose you, and I will Always choose you, for the rest of my life.

I’m marrying you with the understanding that most of the time you snore like a freight train. That you leave big messes wherever you go and your methods for remedying those messes are not any better. That most of the time I am waiting on you when we have plans to leave. And that your love of dance movies, like, Step Up, almost outweigh your love for me.

But, also, I am marrying you with the understanding that you are kind and gentle, ambitious and driven, an amazing partner and father, and that you will do everything in your power to make Sebastian and I happy, except for properly cleaning up after yourself.

As Albus Dumbledore said, “Sometimes we must choose between what is right and what is easy.” And our road may not always be easy, but as long as we are together and working as the best team we can be, it will always be right.”
